Vanderburgh Sober Living is a recovery-focused and peer supported sober living community

We are proud to be the first structured and certified sober living home provider in Taunton,  offering men’s sober living close to downtown. We understand the challenges that a House Mentor faces every day, and we have many programs in place to support and encourage them – not only as a mentor, but as a man or woman in recovery themself. We have a comprehensive training program to equip them in handling guest concerns, house emergencies, and in their leadership of the recovery environment in the home. Applications are accepted on our website, as well as faxed, e-mailed, or over the phone.

Therapeutic Role of Art, Music, and Meditation During Recovery

We carefully screen each application and conduct a telephone screen prior to approval to ensure a good fit in our homes. Another thing to keep in mind when looking for the right sober home is to see how flexible they are with the length of stay. Some homes require a minimum length of stay, others have no requirements. It is impossible to know just how long you will need to stay in a sober living environment before moving on to an independent life in recovery. Look for homes that allow you to stay as long as you need until you are confident to be on your own. A well-organized mentor and leadership structure ensures that the sober living home operates smoothly, with clear guidance and support available to all guests.

We are New England’s premier sober living provider, with homes across Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Maine. A $200 deposit is due when moving in, additional to your first week payment. But, I’m definitely open to hearing from other businesses or service providers who would be willing to provide those monitoring services at a reduced rate to defendants and the county. I began my career as a deputy prosecutor in the Vanderburgh County Prosecutor’s Office.

NARR’s state affiliates, through a certification process, ensure that certified sober living homes provide guests with reliable and transparent services, and ensure overall quality, safety, and success of sober living programs. Guests are engaged in their personal recovery journey by attending meetings and working with a sponsor and a House Mentor for support and encouragement.
